Inspired by my photoshoot ''Half Female, Half Male'', I created this oil painting based on one of the photographs. Initially, I was going to blur the whole face but I thought it would be interesting to see how it would look like if half the face is blurred and half is not. Again, I wanted to tackle a cliche idea in my own way to see if the result would be different. Before blurring half of the face, I painted it with detail so that it would be accurate. I found that the action of removing something after being painted is very psychological, it takes bravery to do this, is almost like destroying something you tried so hard to create.
